Our verdict

HSBC (LON:HSBA) shares look attractive today. Recent results have shown the bank has momentum at the moment thanks to higher interest rates. However, at present, the company’s valuation is very low. Of course, bank stocks could take a hit if the global economy continues to slow. And in the long run, they could be vulnerable to FinTech disruption. All things considered, however, the risk/reward proposition here looks compelling right now. A high dividend yield adds weight to the investment case. 22/11/23
