Our verdict

Overall, Investments by MoneySuperMarket is a solid offering. I think it’s ideal for someone starting out in the world of investing and looking to build a diversified portfolio without much effort.

It’s not perfect and there are lower cost investment platforms out there. But if you’re only looking to invest a little bit of money and you’re looking for a straightforward platform, it could be a good choice.

A Nice Range of Funds but Not the Cheapest Platform.

With Investments by MoneySuperMarket you can access a broad range of funds from as little as £1 and fees are quite reasonable.

In July 2026, MoneySuperMarket introduced an investment platform. This platform – available via the app – enables you to invest in a range of investment funds for a fee of just 0.34% per year.

In this review, we will take a look at the Investments by MoneySuperMarket offering to see if it’s any good. We’ll explore the fund options, investment accounts, fees and charges, app quality, and customer service levels, and see how it stacks up to offerings from other providers.

Market Access: What investments does MoneySuperMarket offer?

With Investments by MoneySuperMarket, you can access a broad range of investment funds, including ready-made funds, index funds, sector funds, income funds, and thematic funds.

There are five ready-made funds. These are from Vanguard and they are LifeStrategy funds meaning that they combine shares and bonds into a single investment:

  • LifeStrategy 20 – 20% shares, 80% bonds (most cautious)
  • LifeStrategy 40 – 40% shares, 60% bonds (cautious)
  • LifeStrategy 60 – 60% shares, 40% bonds (balanced)
  • LifeStrategy 80 – 80% shares, 20% bonds (adventurous)
  • LifeStrategy 100 – 100% shares (most adventurous)

Looking beyond the ready-made portfolios, there are 37 other funds. These range from index funds like the SPDR S&P 500 UCITS ETF and the Invesco EQQQ NASDAQ-100 UCITS ETF to low-risk funds like the Royal London Short Term Money Market Y Acc fund.

It’s worth noting that each of these 37 funds has a name such as ‘US Heavy Hitters’ and ‘US Tech & Growth Giants’. Personally, I think these names are a bit confusing – in my view it would be better just to have the proper fund names to make things clearer.

Overall though, it’s a decent selection of funds. For most investors, there are more than enough products to build a diversified investment portfolio.

Pricing: What are MoneySuperMarket’s fees for investing?

MoneySuperMarket’s fees are quite reasonable. There are no trading fees, so you can access the funds for free.

As for the platform fee, it is only 0.34% per year (waived for the first three months currently). That’s lower than the fees some other FinTech platforms charge. For example, Moneybox’s fee is 0.45% plus £1 per month.

It’s not the lowest fee in the market, however. Today, some investment platforms, such as Trading 212 and Robinhood, offer zero platform fees.

Some other providers such as Interactive Investor offer fixed monthly fees and these platforms can be far more cost effective for larger investment portfolios. For example, a £100,000 portfolio would cost you £340 in annual fees here whereas with Interactive Investor annual fees could be under £100.

It should be noted that all of the MoneySuperMarket funds have their own fees. These fees are shown when you pick your funds and they go to the fund managers and other parties managing the funds.

Research and added value

On MoneySuperMarket’s website, there is a ‘Training Academy’ where you can learn about investing. This consists of a series of educational guides designed to help you understand the basics of investing.

We couldn’t find any investment research on the site, however. So, investors will have to source their research from somewhere else.

Apps & Platforms

To access Investments by MoneySuperMarket, you need to download the app. This app has a 4.8 rating in Apple’s App Store and users have reported that it is straightforward and easy to use.

Customer Service

If you need to contact MoneySuperMarket, you can get in touch with them via their website. However, you will initially be chatting to an AI agent called Fin.

If you leave a message, a human customer service representative will get back to you. The fact that the company does not offer live chat with a human is not ideal.
