Our verdict
Often known as the ‘poor man’s gold’, silver has often traded in the shadow of gold. Silver is an industrial and monetary metal.
Summary
At $26 a troy ounce, silver is cheap - historically and relatively, especially compared to gold. The metal established its all-time highs back in 2011 at the lofty high of $50. If gold does establish new highs soon, an upward race here is a distinct possibility. 27/11/79
