Jeannette of Tor FX is always friendly and helpful. The rates they offer are extremely competitive (much better than my bank’s!), and funds are deposited into my account as soon as conversion takes place (not like my bank!).

I have used TorFX for many, many years when transferring currency to my bank in France, to pay direct debits set up to pay all household expenses on my house in France. I never had a problem in all those, probably fifteen or so, years.

I needed urgent help when I was selling the house this summer. My daughters were inheritors of my husband’s estate too. One of my daughters lives in Spain, the other in Devon whilst I live in Cheshire, but was at the house in France at the time. Despite being given only one week by my French solicitor to sort out all the individual final paperwork, including where and how the funds should be deposited. My TorFx agent was really helpful and took the funds transfer situation over and arranged everything. Nothing was too much trouble and despite the incredible timescale, all the necessary information landed at my French solicitor’s office in time to complete the sale successfully. We were all advised within a couple of days of the transfer of funds into our TorFX account. The whole process had been very traumatic for me, being 81 years of age and totally alone in dealing with the incredibly difficult to comprehend legalities. It was such a relief to speak to Becky and hear her confident, efficient, comforting, positive and practical advice and suggestions leading to speedy action. Thank you so much, Becky and colleagues.
