One of the top CFD broker services in the UK has been shortlisted for a prestigious internet award. eToro, one of the largest CFD brokers in the country, has been named in a three-company shortlist for the Good Web Guide’s ‘Website of the Year’ award, in the finance category.
The eToro social trading network – originally called Retail FX when it was founded a decade ago – has millions of traders ranked in ‘leagues’ across the world. eToro’s social trading approach means that you can earn money by being a leader or by following a profitable trader.
Now one of the top forex brokers, eToro claim to have more than 4.5 million registered traders, and new traders can claim up to $1,000 as a ‘welcome bonus’.
The judges at the Good Web Guide have been putting hundreds of websites through their paces to arrive at shortlists in more than fifteen categories, from finance to gardening.
Panel member Ciaron Dunne, founder of Genie Ventures, said: “We ran this as a collaborate exercise with a diverse team of designers and online marketers at Genie HQ in Cambridge, and we had a lot of fun.”
The shortlists have now been announced and eToro joins fellow sites currency broker Berry FX and Pandle on the shortlist. The three candidates operate in the finance arena and offer:
- eToro – the first global marketplace for people to trade currencies, commodities and indices in a simple and enjoyable way. The social trading site is also a top CFD broker
- Pandle – free, cloud-based accounting software designed for small businesses and sole traders
The category winners and overall Website of the Year will be announced at the Awards Reception on Monday 21st November at The Royal Institution of Great Britain, Albemarle Street, W1, London.
