IG launches biggest-ever crypto transfer incentive with up to £1,500 cashback
IG has unveiled its largest-ever cryptocurrency transfer promotion, offering eligible customers up to £1,500 in cashback if they move qualifying crypto assets to the platform before 31 July.
The limited-time offer provides 5% cashback on eligible crypto transfers worth at least £1,000, with the maximum reward capped at £1,500. Customers must transfer their holdings into an IG Crypto Account using the promotional code CRYPTO1500 and maintain a qualifying position throughout the promotional holding period. Cashback is due to be paid by 28 February 2027.
The incentive is designed to encourage investors to consolidate their digital assets alongside the rest of their investment portfolios on a single platform. IG supports transfers from a range of major exchanges, including Coinbase, Kraken, Uphold, Bitstamp, eToro and CoinJar, as well as self-hosted wallets such as MetaMask, Ledger and Trezor.
The promotion follows IG’s recent expansion of its cryptocurrency offering, including the introduction of commission-free investing on leading cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Ethereum and Solana. Customers can now buy, sell and swap more than 150 digital assets through the platform.
Elise Ash, SVP of Marketing and Growth at IG, said: “We know many investors hold their crypto separately from the rest of their portfolio, often across multiple platforms and wallets. Our biggest ever crypto transfer incentive gives customers a compelling reason to bring those investments together, making it easier to manage their portfolio through a single, trusted FTSE 100 platform.”
She added that the company remains focused on strengthening its crypto proposition by offering investors “more choice, lower costs and a seamless way to manage their investments from one place.”
The move comes as competition among UK cryptocurrency investment platforms continues to intensify, with providers increasingly using promotional offers and lower fees to attract crypto investors. While cashback incentives are common in the savings and investment markets, they have been less frequently used to encourage cryptocurrency transfers.
Investors considering the offer should check the full eligibility criteria, including supported cryptocurrencies and holding requirements, before transferring assets. As with any cryptocurrency investment, prices remain highly volatile and investors should be prepared for the risk of losing some or all of their capital.
