Our verdict
Revolut Business is one of the most powerful digital banking platforms for companies that operate internationally or want modern financial tools. The combination of multi-currency accounts, automated expense management, and accounting integrations makes it particularly attractive for startups and fast-growing businesses.
What is the Revolut Business Bank account?
Revoluts Business account is a digital banking platform designed for startups, SMEs, and larger companies that need fast, flexible financial tools. Rather than functioning like a traditional high street business bank account, Revolut focuses on global payments, multi-currency accounts, and automated expense management through its app. Businesses can send money internationally, manage spending with corporate cards, integrate accounting software, and accept payments online or in person.
How much does Revolut business banking cost?
Revolut Business accounts are subscription-based, with pricing depending on how many features and transaction allowances your company needs.
The Basic plan starts from £10 per month, while the Grow plan costs from £30 per month and includes higher limits and additional expense management tools.
The Scale plan starts at £90 per month, offering larger foreign exchange allowances and expanded global payment capabilities. Large organisations can also create a bespoke Enterprise plan with tailored pricing.
Each plan includes a set allowance of free transfers and foreign exchange at the interbank rate during market hours, after which fees apply. For businesses that regularly send international payments or manage multiple currencies, these allowances can make the account significantly cheaper than traditional banks.
Is Revolut good for business banking?
One of the main attractions of Revolut Business is its multi-currency capability, allowing companies to hold and exchange more than 25 currencies and send transfers to over 150 countries. Businesses also receive IBAN and SWIFT details to receive payments globally. Revolut integrates with accounting tools such as Xero, Sage, and QuickBooks, helping automate reconciliation and expense tracking.
The account also includes team spending controls, allowing businesses to issue physical and virtual cards to employees while setting approval limits and monitoring expenses in real time. Companies can also accept payments online, via payment links, or in person using Revolut’s payment tools.
Is Revolut Business safe?
Revolut Business is regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority as an electronic money institution in the UK, rather than a fully licensed bank. This means customer funds are safeguarded with partner banks or held in secure liquid assets, rather than protected under the Financial Services Compensation Scheme. While this safeguarding structure protects funds if Revolut were to fail, it does not provide the same guarantee as FSCS protection.
However, because it is not yet a fully licensed UK bank, some companies may still prefer a traditional business account for holding large balances. For businesses focused on global payments and efficiency, though, Revolut Business remains one of the most innovative options available.

Fraud- Services did not provided but paid for
Very disappointing experience — misleading advertising and poor service
I paid for accommodation that was advertised as including specific services and facilities, including breakfast, but what was actually provided did not match what was advertised. Several of the promised services were simply not fulfilled.
I consider this extremely misleading. Customers pay based on the description and promises made at the time of booking, and those promises should be honoured.
I also contacted Revolut regarding the issue, but the customer service and handling of the case were very disappointing. I paid for a service that I did not receive as advertised, yet I did not feel that Revolut properly protected me as a customer or adequately addressed the problem.
Overall, this experience has seriously damaged my trust in both the merchant and the way Revolut handled the dispute. I would strongly recommend checking every detail before paying, because what is advertised may not necessarily be what you actually receive.

Avoid keeping your money with Revolut
My account has been frozen since 29 May 2025 because of a £164 transfer from my own bank account in Kazakhstan to my own Revolut account in UK. The transfer was made over 13 months earlier.
I provided everything they asked for: bank statements, proof of income, and clear evidence that these were my own funds. Despite this, my account remains blocked, leaving me without access to money I use for my children’s activities, phone bills, and everyday expenses.
Customer support is useless - they only send automated, copy-and-paste replies and never provide any meaningful updates. A £164 transfer between my own accounts should not result in months of being locked out of my money.
If this can happen over such a small, fully documented transfer, it can happen to anyone. Think twice before trusting Revolut with money you may need.

Refusing to let me sell an investment which is not suspended on the exchange or on other trading sites. So effectively they have stolen my funds . BEWARE using this company is dangerous to your finances .
The reply from Revolut is disengenous as I have only listed the review after exhaustive chats , email and a complaint. They still refuse to take responsibility. Now as of a week later I still cannot close my account or gain access to my funds . They dismissed my complaint and suggested I contact the ombudsman. In the meantime they have my funds. Disgusting company
Absolutely sick of this company not closing an inactive account from over 3 years ago. Just send rude, blunt emails. So unhelpful and zero customer compassion or care
Unaccredited nonsense
Please just enter into your Google search "revolut scam" and educate yourself before joining. Read BBC, Guardian, and Reddit articles/posts. Selfie camera doesn't work, and they refuse to offer an alternative login method, so I can't access my money. Keep getting same automated response(do some work you twits). They heavily spam my email, though. No customer service so imagine being stuck abroad with these absentee idiots as your lifeline, best learn to beg or busk in the local language.
