eToro's ISA Review

eToro doesn’t have its own ISA, instead eToro, the multi-asset trading platform, entered the UK ISA market in March 2023 via a collaboration with online wealth manager Moneyfarm. eToro’s UK clients are able to open a cash or stocks and shares ISA with Moneyfarm via the eToro platform.

eToro’s Cash ISA currently pays 4.49% AER

eToro has launched a Cash ISA for UK customers, offering an interest-bearing, tax-free savings account directly within the eToro app. The eToro ISA rates are variable and depend on the real-time interest offered within the product. Funds placed in the eToro Cash ISA are held in safeguarded UK bank accounts and benefit from full ISA tax protection.

eToro’s cash ISA pays a boosted 4.49% AER variable rate for the first 12 months when you deposit into or transfer a Cash ISA. The standard introductory rate is 3.69%, and after the first year the rate falls to 3.49%.

To keep the boosted rate, you must:

  • Maintain at least £500 in the ISA
  • Make no more than 3 withdrawals in 12 months
  • Meet the minimum funding requirements (£500 deposit or £15,000 ISA transfer)

The rate is variable, linked to a Qualifying Money Market Fund (QMMF), meaning it can change at any time. The offer is only available to UK residents and limited to one ISA offer per customer.

eToro Stocks & Shares ISAs come with up to 3% cash back in 2026

With the eToro Stocks & Shares ISA powered by Moneyfarm, you can now invest in US stocks alongside our existing range of UK stocks, ETFs, bonds and mutual funds. The eToro cashback offer is only open to new customers who open an eToro Stocks & Shares ISA powered by Moneyfarm between 1 January and 28 February 2026.

The amount of cashback you receive also depends on your eToro Club tier:

  • Bronze / Silver / Gold: 2%
  • Platinum / Platinum Plus: 2.5%
  • Diamond: 3%

It’s also important to note that cashback is based on your first deposit only and capped at £10,000 per person. Plus you will not receive the cashback, which will be paid into your Moneyfarm account until 30 April 2026.

You also need to adhere to these investment and holding requirements:

  • You must make your first investment within 30 days of funds clearing
  • Over a 2-year qualifying period, you must either:
  • Maintain an average of at least 50% of your first deposit invested, or
  • Execute an average of 2.5 trades per month

Who are Moneyfarm?

Moneyfarm offers a range of globally diversified discretionary portfolios, each of which is risk rated. Which, according to the wealth manager, means that customers are matched with the correct investments.

Dan Moczulski, eToro’s UK Managing Director, told us exclusively:

Despite being a global business, we want to take a local approach to the markets that we operate in, rather than working on a one size fits all basis.

In the UK, this means offering financial products that will help our UK clients to have a more complete investing experience. The stocks and shares ISA will help eToro clients to shield a portion of their investment returns in a tax-free wrapper, something which is more important than ever given upcoming CGT changes. We plan to continue developing this offering in the coming months.

The eToro ISA does not include investments, copy trading or crypto exposure. It is a simple savings option, separate from the Moneyfarm arrangement. This also means eToro ISA fees UK for the Cash ISA are minimal, with no platform fee for holding cash.

If you are searching for eToro ISA crypto options, note that crypto cannot be held in any ISA under current HMRC rules.

Why has eToro launched an ISA offering?

This is the first project in what’s hoped will be a closer working relationship between the two companies. eToro will look to expand its ISA offering, most likely in conjunction with Moneyfarm.

Daniel Giddings, Moneyfarm’s UK head of business development, said the firms would:

“closely integrate the (ISA) propositions over time”

eToro has more than 3.0 million registered users in the UK and will be hoping to entice them into opening an ISA account through the new venture.

The firm hasn’t disclosed the charges for its new service. However, Moneyfarm has a sliding scale of fees based on the amount of money invested.

For example, those with between £500 and £10,000 in a stocks and shares ISA, pay 0.75% per annum.

Whilst those with between £10,000 and £20,000 pay 0.65% a year, and if your portfolio grows in value your fees can diminish further.

eToro and Moneyfarm have taken a novel approach to ISA investing, one that will differentiate them from the competition.

eToro clients are likely very familiar with social trading and following other people’s trading and investment ideas, so buying into a discretionary ISA may not be that much of a leap for them.

Unlike many other ISA offerings, the eToro and Moneyfarm products will be discretionary managed ISAs. Meaning that you put your money into the ISA account, but it’s the experts at Moneyfarm that will allocate and manage the investment on your behalf.

ISAs, or Individual Savings Accounts, are tax-free savings vehicles in which UK clients can invest up to £20,000 per annum, under current legislation. Any capital growth or income generated within the ISA portfolio is exempt from capital gains or income tax.

Is eToro’s ISA any good?

Yes, the eToro cash ISA is good as even though eToro doesn’t have its own ISA so it’s not an eToro ISA, you are opening an account and dealing with Moneyfarm which only pays 3.85% AER, whereas if you open via eToro you get a better interest rate of 4.66% AER.
