XTB has introduced individual retirement accounts for investors in Poland as it seeks to grow its share of the European trading market.
The Warsaw-listed fintech will also shortly launch a new virtual wallet with a multi-currency card in its home country, according to a report by fintech news website FinanceMagnates on Wednesday.
The wallet and multi-currency card is available in Portugal and the Czech Republic and is set to launch in Poland in the near future.
After this launch, the card is expected to be brought to additional markets. The wallet will ultimately support seven currencies. There are the Euro (EUR), US Dollar (USD), pound sterling (GBP), Polish ZΕoty (PLN), Hungarian florint (HUF), Romanian leu (RON), and Czech koruna (CZK).
It also integrates security measures including two-factor authentication, adjustable spending limits, and the capacity to disable the card temporarily.
The news of the launch of the XTB retirement account comes after the broker obtained a UK Individual Savings Accounts (ISA) in May, with the aim of launching its first ISA products this year.
XTB was founded in 2003 and offers forex trading, indices, commodities, ETF and stock CFD trading.
The Good Money Guideβs review of XTB by founder Richard Berry in August noted the broker has a history βadding and removing features based heavily on client demand.β
Though the new XTB retirement account and multi-currency card features are initially to be launched in Poland, there is a good chance the broker could make similar features available in the UK if there proves to be demand for them.
In Berryβs view, a highlight of the platform is that it offers βsome of the best market access, pricing and trading toolsβ.Β
XTB chief executive Omar Arnaout had also emphasised the importance of customer service for the company.Β
Should they come to UK customers, the new XTB retirement account and multi-currency card features would back up that proposition in this market.
