No, you cannot trade options on eToro in the UK. Options trading is only available to eToro US users via a separate eToro options app. In the UK, they offer investing in global stocks, indices and commodities. They also have quite a stong cryptocurrency offering.
It doesn’t surprise me that eToro does not offer options trading in the UK as there is not a huge market for speculating or hedging portfolios with options, as UK investors and traders are able to do this via spread bets and CFD trading.
However, as more and more brokers are offering options in the UK, like Tastytrade or the start-up Investa, I expect eToro to offer options trading in the future as they expand their suite of financial products. However, I would say that adding investment ISAs and pensions should be added first.
