Plus500 has launched a new AI-powered feature called “+AI Bites”, designed to give traders fast, digestible market analysis directly within its trading platform. The tool aims to bridge the gap between research and execution by providing real-time context without requiring users to leave the platform.
It’s actually pretty good, you can set it based on how experienced you are, from Basic, Expanded and Comprehensive Research. For commodities and indices, it gives you a good market overview and for stocks, it creates a good summary of what’s going on from a technical and fundamental perspective.
AI Bites give structured “market snapshots” at the instrument level, combining news, technical analysis, platform sentiment, and AI-generated summaries into a concise format. According to the presentation, the experience is designed to help traders understand “what the market is doing right now” rather than simply displaying raw data or social sentiment.
However, there is no coverage of UK stocks like Lloyds or Rolls-Royce yet, but it’s handy if you are looking at trending US stocks that you are not familiar with.
Plus500 says the feature represents an evolution from its existing “Insights” product. While Insights focused primarily on activity within the Plus500 ecosystem, “Bites” incorporates wider market information, including global developments from the last 24 hours, intraday technical analysis, and key support and resistance levels.
Internal sentiment is great (but in my view often a contrarian indicator), but Plus500 always lacked external info, which is now incorporated, making the trading and research flow more fluid.
Obviously, AI insight needs to be checked so it doesn’t compete directly with heavyweight research services; instead keeps traders engaged inside the Plus500 trading platform.
Plus500 said some of its most active traders interacted with the tool hundreds of times per month, with one user recording 1,926 sessions. Around 12% of users who tried the feature reportedly became “power users”, while 9% went directly from using Bites to placing a buy or sell trade during their first session.
Overall, a good starting point for getting an overview of what’s going on in an asset, but as always, do your own research.
