Saxo has launched a new premium service level, Saxo Elite, aimed at high-value clients who want more than just a trading platform. “Elite” is designed for sophisticated investors and active traders, offering a more personalised and responsive experience as markets become increasingly complex.
What is Saxo Elite?
Saxo Elite is a relationship-driven service model layered on top of Saxo’s existing multi-asset platform.
Elite clients get
- access to a dedicated relationship manager,
- direct contact with Saxo’s trading desk
- insights from in-house strategists
- better pricing benefits, which are typically linked to trading volume and activity.
Saxo Elite is a hybrid between online trading and traditional brokerage service.
Do you qualify for Saxo Elite?
Saxo Elite is for clients with either £5 million or more in investable assets, or annual trading volumes exceeding £200 million.
But, eligibility isn’t purely automatic, clients are assessed based on their relationship with Saxo, trading behaviour, and overall needs.
Elite is aimed at high-net-worth individuals, professional traders, and small institutions rather than everyday retail investors.
Is Saxo Elite worth it?
For professional trading clients, yes. I’ve always said that trading is a relationship gain, and the more access to analysis and tighter pricing, the better.
If you’re trading large size or managing significant capital, tighter pricing and faster access to market expertise can make a meaningful difference to returns and execution. The added human layer, relationship managers and strategists, can also be valuable in volatile markets.
It’s like going old school as before the FCA tightened regulations, all customers would have had this service, but for most investors, Saxo Elite will be overkill.
The high entry thresholds alone exclude the vast majority of retail clients, and many of the benefits (like research and platform tools) are already available at lower tiers.
Andrew Bresler, CEO of Saxo UK, Saxo said: “We are excited to make Saxo Elite available to our clients. At Saxo, we serve a broad and highly sophisticated client base, and over time it has become clear that our most advanced clients have needs that extend beyond what a standard service model can support. Saxo Elite has been developed to address those evolving requirements by building on our platform strengths with a more integrated and responsive service experience.”
Saxo Elite will be made available to eligible clients based on trading activity and relationship criteria. It is designed to sit alongside Saxo’s broader offering, ensuring clients continue to benefit from Saxo’s full platform capabilities while accessing an enhanced level of service as their needs evolve.
