Corpay Cross-Border Solutions has signed a deal to become the official foreign exchange partner of mixed martials arts (MMA) organisation Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).
Under the new Corpay UFC partnership the FX platform will partner in the presentation of select UFC Fight Nights in Asia, Australia, Europe and the Middle East.
The broker’s branding will also be integrated into the LED UFC Fight Deck that encircles the organisation’s Octagon fighting ring.
In addition, Corpay branding will be featured on the organisation’s Prep Point, where UFC athletes undergo safety checks with commission officials before entering the Octagon to face their opponent.
Outside of events, Corpay marketing will be visible at UFC fight week activities, including press conferences and weigh-ins.
The UFC partnership will first be on display at the UFC FIGHT NIGHT Riyadh in Saudi Arabia on Saturday, 1 February, at The Venue, Riyadh.
Founded in 2001 in Canada, Corpay now handles more than £5 billion in currency transactions each year.
The latest Good Money Guide review of the broker noted it was one “one of the few currency brokers that also offers currency options”
It added: “Whilst they do provide excellent exchange rates for currency transfers, this also means they can help with personal and business currency exposure hedging.”
Corpay’s new UFC partnership should represent a marketing boon for the company, with UFC claiming to reach more than 700 million fans and around 290 million social media followers.
It hosts more than 40 live events each year and broadcasts to more than 170 countries.
Corpay-Cross Border chief marketing officer Brad Loder said: “Being recognized as an official partner of a premium global sports brand such as UFC further solidifies Corpay’s position as the currency risk management and cross-border payments solutions company of choice in the world of sports.”
The organisation recently also struck a similar deal with trading platform Pepperstone, specifically in Asia.
The strategic tie-up will see UFC in Asia give Pepperstone’s brand a boost through its marketing channels.
