I have an ISA account with Bestinvest. Since the service was completely overhauled a couple of years ago, it is much improved. In particular, the ability to book a virtual meeting and discuss things with a Coach (at no cost!!!), is incredibly helpful and sets it apart from rivals.

Great range of ready-made portfolios to choose from

I like the simplicity of the platform and the ready made portfolios available.

I’ve had an account for a couple of years with Bestinvest and particularly like the free financial coaching – there whenever I need it – and the RMPs that are tailored to my risk profile and work well for someone who prefers a hands-off approach to investing.

Cost-effective way to get access to investment coaches to discuss the right investment strategy is right for you. The Ready-made Portfolios, particularly the Smart funds, are perfect if you know how much risk/growth you want to target but want to leave the stock-picking to the professionals.

I have an ISA with Bestinvest

Had my first-ever hiccup with Best in 2024. I was advised to send original documents for shares held in paper form to the Liverpool office for conversion into Crest so that they could be entered into my Investment account. The value was 60K+ and the Postoffice confirmed delivery. I Included a cover letter asking for confirmation e-mail of agreement as to content of the letter (Number of certificates, etc) but received nothing. Rang the 02071899999 number after a while (which seemed to be answered in Liverpool) and was told it had been received and was in process. I asked again for confirmation of what was received, but the lady could not tell me so I asked again for an e-mail confirmation pointing out that I had requested that with the certificates. Nothing was forthcoming so I wrote a complaint which was answered in terms of the length of time such moves took and claiming my envelope was received 4 Nov 24 when the Postoffice showed it was signed for by Eyelyn on 24 Oct 24! I still like Bestinvest
