XTB ETF (exchange-traded fund) coverage has expanded with the recent addition of new products to its platform, bringing the broker further in line with its larger rivals.
Following a recent update, which sees the addition of more ETFs from the largest issuers, XTB now offers around 1,350 in total.
Seven hundred of these are now available through XTBβs Investment Plans, which allow customers of the broker to create portfolios of ETFs with automated updates.
This brings XTB ETF coverage into the same league as the largest UK brokerage platforms, Hargreaves Lansdown and AJ Bell, which offer access to more than 2,000 and 1,500 ETFs respectively.
The number is also above that offered by newer, smaller platforms, such as ETF-focused trading platform InvestEngine, which provides access to around 700 such instruments.
XTB, which was founded in 2003, is headquartered in Poland and listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. It offers forex, indices, commodities, ETF and stock CFD trading.
Users trading over β¬100,000 (Β£82,000) or equivalent each month on the platform are charged a 0.2% commission fee, subject to a minimum ticket charge of Β£10.00. Otherwise, trading on the platform is commission-free.
The Good Money Guideβs review of the platform finds it to offer βsome of the best market access, pricing and trading tools including the ability to invest in the long-term alongside their short-term speculationβ.
In an interview with our founder Richard Berry in 2018, XTB CEO Omar Arnaout emphasised the importance of the firm having its own proprietary trading technology, contributing to its selling-point of being βengaging, stable and transparentβ.
Earlier this month XTB launched flexible Stocks & Shares Individual Savings Accounts (ISAs) in the UK.
These allow customers who invest through the ISA to withdraw funds and reinvest them without losing their allowance.
The ISA offers 4.75% yearly interest on uninvested cash, which is among the highest rates on the market.Β
