IGĀ has welcomed news that complaints against financial spread betting brokers are falling. The Financial Ombudsman has announced a dramatic decline in the number of complaints levied against financial spread betting firms. While the total number of complaints against the financial industry increased by approximately 50,000 spread betting moved the other way.
A spokesperson is quoted as saying: āWe believe that these low levels of complaints are indicative of the UK having a robustly regulated sector with responsible firms taking active steps towards improving client service, protection, and outcomes.ā
The news comes at a time when new stricter regulation is set to come into force and many have been quick ague that the figures suggest the sector is well placed to manage its own affairs without input from the regulators.
