ThinkMarkets Dynamic Leverage

Users of CFD trading platform ThinkTrader in South Africa can now access dynamic leverage up to 2000:1. The new feature allows customers of ThinkMarketsโ€™ proprietary trading platform to automatically adjust their leverage based on their trade size.

This can allow them to potentially amplify the profits of small trades, while minimising the risk exposure of larger ones.

Dynamic leverage can only be applied to trades opened on the platform after 21 January, when the feature was enabled. It can not be applied to positions opened prior to this.

The update comes after ThinkTrader introduced a trailing stop loss feature in October last year.

That feature allows users to adjust their stop loss levels automatically to limit potential losses, without needing to monitor their trades.

A standard stop loss order allows traders to limit their loss by exiting a position when it falls to a certain price, while the trailing stop loss tool automatically adjusts this price as the market rises.

Other recent upgrades by the platform include the introduction of spread betting early last year. Spread betting allows traders to speculate on price movements without the need to take ownership of the underlying assets.

Detachable charts were added in December, making it easier to track and trade various instruments or timeframes. Traders can execute trades directly on each individual chart.

The implementation of these new features comes after parent group ThinkMarkets partnered with Chicago-based Fintech TradingView last year to improve its analysis and charting capabilities.

The tie-up brought 13 distinct chart types alongside a suite of drawing tools with which to annotate and mark up charts to ThinkTraderโ€™s web platform.

ThinkMarkets was founded in Australia in 2010 and has offices in Europe, North America, Africa, the Middle East, and across Asia.

The Good Money Guideโ€™s latest review of the company notes itsย  โ€œfeature-richโ€ platforms are a key draw for traders. It is also known for its โ€œexcellent trading conditionsโ€, with forex spreads as low as 0.0 pips.

Dynamic leverage is not available for ThinkMarkets clients in the UK, EU, UAE, AU or NZ.
