Interactive Brokers has expanded its global market coverage by adding access to United Arab Emirates equities, opening up trading on both the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) and the Dubai Financial Market (DFM).
The move gives Interactive Brokers clients worldwide direct exposure to one of the fastest-growing economic regions, while also allowing investors based in the Middle East to trade local and international markets from a single platform.
The addition of UAE stock trading strengthens Interactive Brokersβ presence across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), a region that has seen rising international investor interest driven by economic diversification, infrastructure investment and increasing market sophistication. By integrating ADX and DFM into its existing offering, Interactive Brokers now enables investors to build more geographically diversified portfolios alongside products from more than 160 global exchanges.
Interactive Brokers said the expansion is particularly relevant for its Middle Eastern client base, as well as international investors seeking access to regional growth opportunities. Clients can fund their accounts and trade in up to 28 currencies, including the UAE dirham (AED). International investors are also able to deposit funds in their local currency and convert to AED at low foreign exchange conversion rates before trading UAE-listed stocks.
Milan Galik, Chief Executive Officer of Interactive Brokers, said the launch reflects growing demand for broader global market access. βAs market participants seek to uncover new investment opportunities around the world, adding UAE equities offers both local and international investors access to the economic growth afforded by this dynamic region, alongside products from over 160 other global markets on the same platform,β he said. Galik added that the expansion, alongside the firmβs recently opened office in the Dubai International Financial Centre, underlines Interactive Brokersβ long-term commitment to the Middle East.
The announcement follows Interactive Brokers being named Best Investing Account in the UAE at the 2025 Good Money Guide Awards, highlighting its growing profile among regional investors.
Existing Interactive Brokers clients can begin trading UAE equities immediately through their current accounts, while new customers can open an account online in minutes. With the addition of ADX and DFM, Interactive Brokers continues to position itself as a global gateway for investors seeking low-cost, multi-market access through a single, technology-driven trading platform.
