US options trading platform Tastytrade has integrated TradingView, giving its users access to the latter’s charting and analytical tools.
The tie-up will see TradingView provide Tastytrade’s customers with more than 20 chart types, 110 drawing tools, 400 technical indicators, price alerts, its analytical suite, a strategy tester and a proprietary language for developing custom indicators and strategies.
Tastyrade CEO Scott Sheridan said he was “super excited” about the partnership, which he hopes will “further build out a unique offer for our customers”.
The Good Money Guide’s review of TastyTrade finds it to be “A good choice for traders looking for low commission, trading ideas and followers of trading on social media.”
Highlights of the platform include its comparatively low commission rates, making it an appealing option for traders looking for cost-effective options trading solutions.
Tastytrade was founded in 2017 by former CBOE floor traders Tom Sosnoff and Scott Sheridan, which built a name for itself through offering strong educational content in addition to its core platform.
IG Group moved to acquire the broker in 2021 for $1 billion, since which time Tastytrade has operated as a subsidiary of the UK-headquartered online trading company.
Earlier this year IG brought the rest of its US operations under the brand, renaming its US foreign exchange (FX) business as tastyFX.
Tastytrade also produces a regulator Retail Investor Sentiment Report, alongside Finder, which looks at the state of retail investing in America.
The latest such survey in September found that more than half of American adults do not invest outside the standard 401k retirement plan, with only 43% doing so.
Those aged 35 to 44 were the most likely to invest, with 53% of the group saying they had done so.
Nearly 70% of those who had never invested said not having enough money was the main reason, with another 30% saying they did not know what to invest in.
