US cryptocurrency platform Crypto.com has launched 24/5 US stock trading on its app, marking a major expansion beyond crypto into near round-the-clock equities dealing. The new feature allows users to trade US-listed shares across pre-market, after-hours and overnight sessions, running continuously from Sunday 8pm through to Friday 8pm Eastern Time.
This means investors can react faster to hedge or speculate on breaking news, corporate earnings and global market developments outside the traditional opening and closing bell. Crypto.com says the rollout is part of a wider push toward “continuous access” to US equities trading, bridging the gap between traditional stockbroking hours and modern, always-on investing habits.
Under the new model, US investors can trade across four sessions: pre-market (4:00am–9:30am ET), core hours (9:30am–4:00pm ET), after-hours (4:00pm–8:00pm ET), and overnight trading (8:00pm–4:00am ET). Orders placed outside core hours are routed through regulated alternative trading systems.
Customers can place limit orders at any time, trade whole shares of supported US companies, and monitor positions directly in the Crypto.com app. Fractional shares and market orders remain available only during core trading hours.
However, Crypto.com warned that trading outside normal market hours carries additional risks. Extended-hours sessions can involve lower liquidity, higher volatility and wider spreads, meaning execution prices may differ significantly from quoted levels. National Best Bid and Offer protections also apply only during core hours.
This means that it’s more expensive and risker to trade outside normal market hours.
24-hour US stock trading is available to US users through Foris Capital US LLC, an SEC-registered broker-dealer and member of FINRA and SIPC. Crypto.com noted that its broker-dealer arm is separate from its cryptoasset business and does not engage in the custody or transfer of digital assets.
The launch comes as platforms increasingly blend crypto and traditional finance services, aiming to become all-in-one investment apps. For investors, 24/5 trading offers more opportunity to manage positions in real time, but also demands greater caution when markets are moving sharply outside regular hours.
Crypto.com customers can access the service by opening the app, navigating to the Stocks section and placing a limit order on a US equity.
