The “not so boutique anymore” prime brokerage Linear Investments has bagged the “Best Outsourced Trading Solutions” in last nights HFM European Hedge Fund Services Awards.
The best thing really about awards is when the host, Andy Parsons (from Mock the Week) clearly has no idea what they are about.
Not sure if it was deliberate or not, but last night under the glistening glow of the Dippy the Diplododocus’ replacement “Hope” the big blue Whale, Andy presented awards for to such exciting categories as “Best administrator – reporting/regulatory services” As the FHM awards… I suspect he was having fun…
To be fair, he did have a few good jokes, one about a bunch of people whose job it was to trade risk, sitting under a massive whale bolted on to a Victorian ceiling was quite funny.
There were a few about Brexit, where you could sense the room stiffening though.
A jolly fun evening and if you haven’t voted in our awards yet, you can do so here: https://goodmoneyguide.com/awards/
